Arthritis affects more than 180 million people in India - prevalence higher than many well-known diseases such as diabetes, AIDS and cancer. Around 14% of the Indian population seeks a doctor's help every year for this joint disease. Even as Arthritis has become a growing concern in India, there is very little awareness around it. To understand how to exactly approach Arthritis, Zimmer Biomet is partnering with News18 to raise awareness and talk about the concerns individuals may have regarding their bone and joint health. The campaign will also look at raising awareness about the innovations that have come to light in the knee replacement/ knee surgery area.
Along with understanding Arthritis for the older population of the country, the campaign will do a deep dive into arthritis for the younger population, how it could be different for men and women, the consequences of ignoring joint pain and the right care for bones post the surgery. The campaign will have a holistic view on Arthritis and will also showcase products and innovation brought on by Zimmer Biomet, the relevance of advanced technology and innovative treatment plans.
